  1. She is quite wonderful. You have done a very sensitive job in rendering her. I love the possibilities of papier mache. Beautiful work!

  2. Thank you. It was a pain working through the limitations of the material, but she looks like my grandmother now, both in appearance and spirit.

  3. A fine portrait, Erika. I know it was hard every step of the way: first the modelling, then the scarf, then the tilt of her head, then, and not least, whether to color her, and how. I think you solved each of those problems very well. I can’t know if she looks like your grandmother but she looks made by someone who loved her.

  4. That’s so kind of you, Swallows, thanks very much. You know of course exactly all the little hurdles and tricks. And now I feel I’m making a step forward.

  5. She is lovely! In my oppinion you made very good decisions about the colour and the scarf. The photo is very good, too, having the soft shadows.

  6. Thanks, Birgitte. I’ve been trying to improve the quality of my photos, so that’s great coming from an accomplished photographer. :)

  7. fantastic
