Poetry
Weight of the Forever
In one sweeping motion
a cosmic foe
hopped across the horizon,
and lingered a bit on the edge of the known.
The Universe bent and growled under the force
as it cracked the shell of emptiness
forged of hard air and dying fire,
exposing its immortal core.
A contracted, uneasy mortal,
forever-guest in his stern eternity,
stirred lost in dreamless dream,
and dispersed into hollow particles.
