You speak of pretty as though it were a weakness or something to suppress. It’s true that “art” has become nearly everything anyone does in his free time and it has evolved so much that many would leave pretty altogether out. But I for one am starved for pretty and glad when you allow it.
In truth pretty and nice is hard to capture credibly; most of the time is made into idealistic, artificial or cartoonish. It’s a challenge to make a pretty face that suggests that it is more than just a pretty face –and I like challenges.
It is amazing. I love it.
